About Dr. Lewis

I'm Dr. Jamie Lewis, a licensed clinical psychologist in Buda, Texas. I work with children and teens ages 4 to 17 and their families, and I evaluate adults for ADHD. I see clients in person at my office on Rose Street and by telehealth across Texas.

What I do

My work falls into three areas: therapy for children and teens, psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, and consultation with parents who want strategy and support without their child being in weekly treatment. I also provide interview-based ADHD evaluations for adults.

Because I hold a doctorate and am licensed as a psychologist, I can diagnose and administer psychological testing. That has a practical consequence worth knowing when you are choosing a provider: if your child needs formal documentation for a 504 plan, an IEP, or accommodations at school, I can produce it.

How I work

I work primarily from a cognitive behavioral framework, which means we identify the thoughts and behaviors that are getting in the way and build practical skills to change them. My approach is strengths-based. I want to know what is already working for a child before we start on what is not.

Parents are part of the work, not observers of it. Most of what changes for a child between sessions changes at home, so I spend real time on what parents can do differently.
